Brief: Rebrand Royal Mail
The brief imagined that following Brexit the monarchy had been dissolved so I decided to change the name of the Royal Mail to just ‘Mail’ which totally disassociates itself from the Royal Family and any authoritarian feel to the brand. I transformed the logo and its colour palette to a much friendlier and less intrusive identity. To allow a more personal relationship between the public and each sector of the postal service, I extended the logo so it could be tailored depending on what it was used for and who was using it. For example, the stamps used on envelopes are validated by an individual or company, with either a signature or a company stamp. Moreover, employee uniforms and vehicle transportation are customised depending on which area of the city they deliver mail in or pass through.
