For my campaign, I decided to make an advert consisting only of text, with no sound, to visualise what people with hearing loss go through. Each noun or verb is physically animated in a way that reciprocates what it would sound like out loud.The purpose of this advert is not only to make the public more aware of what it’s like to su er from hearing loss but also to encourage those who aren’t aware that they have it, to act on it, and get help. Due to my target audience being 18-25 year olds, my campaign advert will be located on screens that are mostly viewed by the younger generation such as night club/event toilets, University campuses, doctor’s waiting rooms, student health centres, social media platforms, leisure centres and gyms, bars and restaurants.
